First, I want to say I am NOT new to blogging. I actually started in my undergrad Literature course. I have not published many of my post, because it was just a way of expressing my feelings about different areas in my life as I have aged over the years. I wanted to create a blog that would go hand in hand with my degrees, but to also educate others.

I am from Clanton, Alabama. But raised in Campbell Community! 
WHAT DO YOU DO?
I was a full time teacher, babysitter, online teacher(in the works). Now that I am done with school I plan on using my degrees to advocate Early Childhood Education(such as Early Head Start, Pre-k program), attending more trainings and conferences, and network to make a bigger name for myself. In the process starting my own educational daycare center. I also plan to TRY blogging once a week here.

I have a B.S. in Family and Consumer Science with Concentration in Child Development from Jacksonville State University, 2011.
I have a certificate in Child Development Associate from Gadsden State Community College, 2014.
I am a certified Professional Development Specialist for the CDA Council, 2015.
DO YOU HAVE CHILDREN?
Yes. I have 1. Jordyn (7 years old) You may occasionally see her featured on the blog. She is in the 2nd grade. She enjoys dancing, cheerleading, and her favorite gymnastic! She is the star on my other social media sites!

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN TEACHING?
I first started student teaching in 2009, then after my 2011 August graduation I started teaching at Cheaha Head Start. A layoff happen and uncertain about the security of my job, I went back to ole faithfully Mickey D, until Gadsden Head Start called in 2014. I stayed there until I moved to T-Town in 2015 and became a part of the Community Service of West Alabama Head Start Program called and it has been my home since.
WHY DO I LOVE HEAD START?
Head Start has been apart of me since I was a little girl, I went to Peter Pan Head Start in Clanton, Alabama. Even after taking the job at Cheaha, something kept telling me this is where I belonged. 2016, my co-worker asked if I knew a few people from Maplesville and out of the small conversation, I was reunited with my first head start teacher. She said I was the little girl, with the hips and could talk your ears off (still can at times). As you see I bleed Head Start.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE GROUP TO TEACH?

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE GROUP TO TEACH?
Well, my all time favorite group is the Infants, I truly enjoy watching them develop. Due to have a CDA, I can teach Early Head Start which is 6 weeks-3 years old. I can teach Head Start and Pre-K, but I have done that for 2 years and its not my strongest are. So I will just stick with my younger tots.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PASS TIME?
I really enjoy traveling, learning, and experiencing new place, things, and events with my daughter. I also have a few girlfriends that I girl trip with once or twice a year.
WHAT IS YOUR BLOG ABOUT?
Well…me and my journey as an EDUCATOR! It’s a place where I can let out my creativity and just be me. Here you will find information about me, educational tips or advice, activities, even some of my daughter likes and dislikes or random J things. I am a loving person, I love teaching and just anything I am interested in writing about. Which can be a ton of things!
